thumb000t00t (1)Brilliant artist of modern day, Kerry Darlington influenced and inspired by the classic picture books, Pre-Raphaelite and Art Nouveau artists. She was captivated in her childhood by the fairy tale books that she had been found in her family’s bookcase: Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz and, of course, The Magic Faraway Tree. Raised and born in Rhyl, a coastal town in the North Wales and nowadays she lives somewhat further, but on the same northern coast, in Prestatyn. A globe-trotter Karry Darlington has settled down nearby her childhood memories and she grew up with one thing she would like to do – to illustrate books for children.

As we mentioned, Kerry Darlington is influenced by many artists and their signature works inspired her own art and shaped the way she thinks and feels the art and the world around her, her own life and art philosophy. At the Fine Art Trade Guild ceremony, last year in May, she has been awarded “Best-Selling Published Artist” and that has made her universally well-received and successful professional artist.

This artist with a beautiful mind was educated more in the field of pen & ink work, long before her work became a symbiotic of oil, acrylic and watercolors. Kerry Darlington’s drawing skills have been for this reason developed extraordinary for someone applying some mixed media and watercolors. Her acrylic work pieces are quite structured, as well.

Kerry Darlington has released her book illustrations as the unique edition prints. One of those prints, Midnight Garden, was sold out in less than a month. Although it may sound contradictory, Kerry Darlington’s unique edition prints tend to retain unique.
